Long Lost Family

18 years ago, Lelia Barros joined my family as a foreign exchange student from Brasil. We loved having her and admired he ability to survive our family! We cried when she left, but since it was before this amazing age of communication, we lost touch with her after a few years.

In the past few months our families have found one another again through Facebook, and it has been wonderful to see pictures of her family and see that she is doing well.

In early November Lelia brought her husband, Marcello, and two daughters, Lydia and Louisa to visit our family. It was so fun!

We visited Salt Lake, made cookies, rode horses, and played in the snow. All to soon her trip was over, but it was so wonderful to get reacquainted, and to tap into my rich Brasilian heritage (I love the candy!).
