Christmas Village

For FHE we went to the This is the Place Heritage Park with my family. It was decorated for Christmas and looked great. We rode the train, danced the Virginia Reel (Daniel's a great partner!), made candles and ornaments, and sat on Father Christmas' lap (pictures were $5 each, so we don't have any).

They even had a live Nativity in the barn complete with live rats scurrying around. The Nativity was beautiful and it was nice to stop and think about why we get so excited this time of year. What a wonderful gift the life of the Savior was and his love and atonement are so apparent each day of my life.

It was a great way to spend a Monday night and get in the Christmas Spirit, plus it tired our poor, frozen children out.

Also today, Madelyn had her first cello lesson. Emily is her teacher and taught really well.
