It's no secret that I am domestically challenged, and that I inherited some of that from my mother. 
However, we overcame a little of that on Saturday by spending 4 hours at a sewing machine. I even re-threaded the bobin a few times!
True, this wasn't a difficult project by most people's standards, but it was a victory for us! All together we made 62 full size corn sacks at 30 mini ones. Good for us!

That sounds like a perfect project to start learning with. What were the corn sacks for?

As a domestically challenged individual myself I have the most profound respect for 4 hours behind the sewing machine!!! If I were you that would mean I was done sewing for the next decade!!! Good for you guys!
