Las Vegas Ragnar -- We Won!!

For those of you who only clicked on this post because you can't believe it -- shame on you! Where's your faith? However, you're right. We were not the fastest team on the road, but if you can't run fast, you can at least have a fantastic name (thanks Leslie)!

The award for Nom de Plume goes to . . . (drum roll please)

Scrambled Legs and Achin'

They even gave us batons to add to our trophy cases. I guess I'll have to buy a trophy case now!

Not only did we have the best name, but we had the best runners too. We had an absolute blast, even with only 11 runners. We actually gained a 12th runner at 9:00 am on race day (three cheers for Tani!), but we lost someone to the flu a couple hours later. At least that wasn't my van.

Van 2 was full of great runners with great personalities. We ran hard and played hard for 30 hours straight. Then we slept hard when we were done.

Thanks to everyone on our team for helping out, filling in and doing more than your fair share. That's the only way we could do it.

Condolences to the family of Jeremy Kunz, from team Wannabees. He was hit and killed by a drunk driver while providing aid to a team member.

Reading your post is making me a bit sad. Wish I could have been there!!! You look wonderful :) Is that really true - was a person killed along the course? How awful!! We need to talk - I miss you and want to hear all about your family vacation!!

Congratulations to you. Oh, that is so sad for the Kunz family. That breaks my heart.
