At the end of September my family ran the Dirty Dash at Soldier Hollow. It was a 5k through the mud, and was a riot! Next year we'll do it again, hopefully the 10k with improved costumes.
As part of the race they offered a Piglet Plunge, which all of my kids except Sam did. The highlight was a GIANT waterside down the side of the mountain (honestly, that was probably the highlight for me too).

We had to throw away some clothing and shoes after the race, but it was definitely worth it in the end.
