Hail the Conquering Hero!

He's back!!
Can you say, "Vonn Trapp wannabee?"
Michael returned from his mission on Monday night, looking very much like he'd spent a couple years in Germany and Austria. It was so wonderful to see him, and my kids are glad to have him back. He's always been a fun, involved uncle and they miss rock climbing and slack lining with him. We welcomed him home with home made signs written in German. It was great to have Sofi to help us write things out.

Mike's flight didn't come in until 8:45 on Monday evening, which meant we had time to take the kids to Temple Square for family night. Why do we only go at Christmas? The flowers we spectacular, the grounds were empty, and the coats kept us warm for a change.

Assembly Hall, Mckay's favorite building

It was the best family night we've had in a long time.

Wow, he looks so old and mature. I still think of him as the little boy going down the zip-line naked.

He still is the boy going down the zip line naked, now he just has to fish his leiderhausen out of the ditch afterwards.
