The day after taking my little boys to This is the Place State Park, I hiked to Timp Caves with the older two. We were again taking Deanna to see some of our local treasures.
It was so fun to hike to the caves and not carry anyone! The kids loved the hike and the caves, and had a blast with Emily and the Palmer kids. I love how strong and fun Madelyn and Gabriel are. I know that I can take them places and do things with them and they'll buck up and have fun.
Hiking the caves at the end of September is wonderful! The fall colors were at their peak and the views from the trail were amazing. The weather was in the low 70's -- perfect for a hike. I think this should be a tradition.
